American Women Heroes Onstage is a
non-profit 501(c)(3) organization supporting the production and creation of theatrical works that feature American woman heroes, front and center.
AWHO awards grants to high schools, community colleges, colleges and universities, community theaters, and regional theater companies to aid in producing shows that feature American women heroes as the main characters.

Nancy Hill Cobb (President) is a composer, conductor, and retired music professor and administrator.
Terry Trimpe (Treasurer), a retired businessman, is an ardent arts supporter and has served on the boards of numerous non-profits.
Melinda Boyd (Director) is a professor of music history and Director of the University of Northern Iowa School of Music.
Rebecca Burkhardt (Director) is a conductor, music director, composer, and university Professor Emeritus.
Cynthia Goatley (Director) is a playwright, director, two-time Fulbright scholar, and university Professor Emeritus.
Cassie Benning Luze (Director) has 25-years of experience in non-profit and higher education marketing and fundraising.
